I can't stop Shooping it...
I wish I could afford one, because I would love to make one in real life.

First read that headline as '205'... Methinks it's time for bed.

I am kind of enthused about the 2015 Mustang, too, for the first time in a long time. 90's and 2000s mustangs with linguini strength chassis, agricultural suspension, and tupperware interiors prompted me to look to other cars..
The newer chassis are modern, the suspension is finally getting there, too, and Ford's interiors are improving in textures and materials.
And the 2015 is reminding me enough of the 1969/70 Mustangs to make me really want to turn a 2015 GT into a Mach 1.

I'm pretty sure I heard that Ford will make a Mach1. I guess it will be the new Boss or halo model.

You're right! There is a strong resemblance and I love it! I'm the owner of a '93 2.3L so I'm kind of excited about the return of a 4-banger to the Mustang. Especially a turbo one!

Mach 1 and Boss are two distinctly different things, at least they were, and should be.
Boss 302 was a track-prep car, all go, very little for comfort options.
Mach 1 was the full-boat loaded car, and I think it actually replaced the GT moniker for '69-70. It would basically be a fully loaded GT Premium with a graphics package to black out the hood, and do a side-stripe, chin spoiler, wing spoiler, premium Magnum 500 wheels, and the fender shoulder scoops.
If Ford does a Mach 1, that would be great, but only if they do it RIGHT, and the above image isn't quite it, but close.
It shouldn't be a Boss 302, although it would be cool if it had Boss 302's engine tuning, for 428 horsepower. (a call-back to the Mach 1's 428 cubic inch engine)
It shouldn't be a Shelby/SVT project, as Mach 1 was a production model, not a special model. If anything it should replace the GT/CS moniker as a package on top of the GT specification.
The hood on the 2015 is ripe for a matte black graphic wider than the one pictured, with a pin-stripe lined edge out to the character lines on the sides of the hood outboard of the extractor vents, but not all the way out to the fenders. and all the way up to the front shut line above the grille. Making that shut line correspond to the pin-stripe line along the sides, with a hood-scoop bridging between the inboard character lines... as well as having the blackout on the extractor vents, or replacing them with slatted grilles.... I think the 2015 car could pull the blackout hood look off much better than the above pictured rendering.
It should not have the BOSS style add-on front air splitter. It isn't supposed to be a track car. But the lower section of the front fascia, the stock portion of the chin spoiler, that splits the lower center grille from the fog light pockets, should be matte black.
There should be a side stripe, but not along the lower sill. The 69-70 had a mid-height side stripe behind the front wheels that lead all the way back to the rear quarter. I think the 2015 car could use a Gran Torino Sport style stripe. Forward of the rear wheels, across the doors, and front fenders, up to the front quarter, ending in the gap on the side of the front bumper cover, between the headlight and the fog light pocket.
I would do a pedestal wing spoiler, much like the old style one. I would black out the center of the roof (or a glass roof option). I would choose some 5-spoke wheels that evoke a 21st century evolution of the Magnum 500 wheels, perhaps aftermarket, if necessary.
I might actually do some sort of treatment to the side window trim and side mirror cap to make it chrome-look, or maybe black-chrome... to give the car a little more premium look. It is a full-option road car, not a track-prep car.

the first car I bought for myself was an '88 2.3 fox mustang. After the AOD crapped out the second time, I sold it as a rolling shell with a running engine, but I was a mustang freak... but I kind of lost interest in the 94-2004 models. 2005 wasn't quite enough to bring me back... 2015 might be enough to do it.
An Eco-Boost I4 is an interesting option, especially if they do some SVO-style things... but it will have a harder time eclipsing a Coyote 5.0 than the OHC fuel-injected turbocharged 2.3 Lima engine in the SVO compared to a smog-regulated carbureted pushrod 302 small-block. The Coyote 5.0, especially with the uprated BOSS-style specifications is an amazing DOHC 420+ horsepower beast. The EcoBoost I4 may or may not have the ability to be tuned, but it will have to be VERY light weight to approach the power-to-weight of a 5.0 V8 car, with ~100-120 less horsepower.

I posted this rendering earlier, which I found online... but I discussed how I would change it.
I roughed-in some of the changes.
Here is a very quick, and rough modification, not official in any way, just to illustrate the blackout changes I mentioned, and a basic location indicator of where I would put a mach 1 side stripe. I didn't take time to erase the track-style front splitter, or change the lip spoiler on the back to a more classic style pedestal-mounted wing, or change out the wheels.
Perhaps someone with much more skill, and a bit more time, could apply this theme to the blue 2015 Mustang, to make it look a bit like the blue '69 Mach 1, that I posted earlier.
Again, I really hope that if Ford does a Mach 1, that they make it a full-boat loaded package on the Mustang GT, not a replacement for the Boss 302, because Mach 1 is not a track-prep car, it is a fully-option-loaded road car.

Something less like the recent Boss 302... Something more like this.

If I have another opportunity to do a boredom rendering I will whip up a 2015 Mach for you!
